The politician was given a new position in Ukraine and is ready to get to work
President Vladimir Zelensky appointed Mikheil Saakashvili, Chairman of the Executive Committee of reforms. In this position, the newly appointed official is going to start layoffs and the abolition of regulations in different areas.
He told about it on air of one of Ukrainian TV channels, reports “Word and deed”.
He believes that the first step is to release businesses from administrative pressure, especially during the economic crisis, caused by a coronavirus. He also intends to get tough for customs and tax.
“Now in Ukraine there is a great crisis associated with the global coronavirus. And the first thing you need to do in order to help the economy is to free people, to liberate businesses from administrative pressure. In the first stage, it seems to me that you just need to dismiss (from office – ed.), cancel absolutely pointless regulations that stifle in absolutely all spheres. At customs, in tax, including how to fill all these invoices that no tax collector or tax not may explain why people be obliged to fill. That’s all about freedom of doing business”, – Saakashvili said.
He also believes completely ineffective past attempts to correct medical reform and the whole system just need be changed.
As reported “Today”, Mikheil Saakashvili told the details of her conversation with Zelensky, after which he was promoted. He said Ukraine should pull out of the swamp and is ready to apply its experience of reform.
