Ukraine has reached a “plateau” epidemic COVID-19when there is a sharp spike in the incidence. In an interview with “Today” said the Deputy Minister of health, chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko.
“The peak of growth, we are 17 days on the “plateau”. It is our goal that we wanted to achieve the introduction of quarantine to avoid the rapid growth and balance without simultaneously loading and of hospitalization of patients”, he said.
According to him, the projected peak incidence could come on April 14.
“According to calculations, we could be on the 14th of April 41 thousand patients. But we have to enter quarantine. If we take a retrospective dynamics and we will not have further growth, we have already reached the peak on 17 April. Since then, we kept the interval 400-550 cases, and in this range we have 17 days,” he said.

Victor Lyashko noted, if the country is not prematurely released from quarantine, “then, in principle, we expect stabilization and a gradual decrease in the number of cases of coronavirus disease.”
