Siemens under pressure from Russia, refused to continue supply of equipment for the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS), said the head of Board NAK “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Andrey Kobelev at the 14th annual YES conference in Kyiv on Friday.
“The first compressors are already brought in, it was the Siemens compressor portfolio. But then she called Siemens and was told that if we bring, then we will lose the Russian market,” he said.
According to him, the company had to appeal to General Electric for new supplies.
Earlier it was reported that Siemens terminates the agreement with Russian companies because of the turbines in the Crimea.
