British experts told, why not use a disposable razor a few times. To avoid health problems, they recommend changing the blades at least weekly, reports “OK”.

Beautician Sabrina Karim notes that the razors – a great environment for bacteria as they often are stored wet. The use of such means of hygiene can lead to infections of the skin, redness, irritation, pseudofolliculitis, inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin), hypertrophic scars and keloids.

“There are red bumps which can buzz. Even worse, the hair follicles can be infected with Staphylococcus Aureus, leading to the formation of pustules and abscesses,” said the expert.
