Khrushchev’s son made unpleasant for Russia statement on Crimea

The transfer of Crimea to Ukraine in 1954, there was no policy, so it was the right decision. This was stated on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine” Professor brown University in the United States, the son of Nikita Khrushchev, Sergei Khrushchev.

He stressed that the Crimea began to revive, when it passed under the jurisdiction of Ukraine.

Recall that the transfer of Crimea from the RSFSR to the Ukrainian SSR was carried out on the basis of the decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet of 19 February 1954. The need to transfer the Crimean oblast to the Ukrainian SSR in the relevant decree was explained by a “common economy, territorial proximity and close economic and cultural ties between the Crimean region and the Ukrainian SSR”.
