Tuck denies agreement on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Donbass

Agreements between the US special envoy Kurt Volker and assistant to the President of Russia Vladislav Surkov for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Donbass does not exist. This was told in the comments to InfoResist by the Deputy Minister of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons of Ukraine Georgy Tuka.

Commenting on the words of colleagues at the Ministry of Yuriy Hrymchak that the alleged decision of the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Donbass is already accepted, Tuck said, “I’m pretty sure that they don’t exist yet and the process of achieving some understanding will be long. For Russia, this is naturally very painful. They will stretch arms and legs to the last, but the last time, from my point of view, has not yet come”.

He also noted that the meeting between Surkov and Volcker was more introductory, than the decision of any questions in the Donbass.

“We exchanged views, shared their visions of a solution. What was meant when Surkov said, “innovative ideas”, I don’t know. Maybe Volker offered to release not only Donetsk, but also in Rostov (a region in Russia bordering the Donetsk – ed.)? Rostov, maybe would be useful, it would be possible to send our potatoes,” said the official.

In turn, the former Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Ogryzko, commenting on the meeting Volcker and Surkov, suggested that the American was probing the ground for possible concessions to Moscow on the Ukrainian question.

We will remind, yesterday in Minsk held a meeting Kurt Volker and Vladislav Surkov, discussed the settlement of the situation in the Donbas.
