Ukrainian banks increased their assets

Assets of operating banks of Ukraine, without regard to insolvent financial institutions, in January-July 2017 rose 7,171 billion, or 0.6%, to 1,263 trillion UAH as of 1 August 2017. About it reports a press-service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

In particular, in July, the assets grew by 25,546 billion, or 2.1%.

Liabilities of banks in January-July 2017 fell by 3.2%, including in July – by 0.1%, to 1,096 trillion UAH.

The capital of the banks for 7 months has grown by 34.9%, including for July – by 18.9%, to 167 billion.

As of August 1, 2017, the number operating in Ukraine of banks licensed to conduct banking activities, amounted to 89, including 38 banks with foreign capital.
