Poroshenko signed a cooperation agreement with Europol

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law, which the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement on operational and strategic cooperation between Ukraine and Europol. About it reported in a press-service of the President.

Reportedly, the entry into force of this document will deepen the integration of Ukraine into the EU’s policy in the sphere of justice and internal Affairs.

“The document expands the cooperation between Ukraine and the European police office for the purpose of support of Ukraine and countries-members of EU in the sphere of counteracting and combating organized crime, terrorism and other forms of international crime”, – noted in press service.

According to the report, it is also about enhancing exchange of operational information in the course of criminal proceedings and to create opportunities for joint activities to investigate crimes and search of the persons involved in the Commission of crimes.

The press service said that the document will come into force from the day of sending the European police office diplomatic channels written notice of Ukraine on receipt and acceptance of the message of Ukraine on the completion of its domestic ratification procedures.
