The EU imposed zero duties on shoes from Ukraine

The EU reduced the duties on Ukrainian shoes to zero. This was stated by Deputy Minister of economic development and trade Natalia Mykolskiy.

“We received a reduction of duties to zero for the industrial products, shoes, where previously the average fee was more than 10-14%. Ukrainian shoes are quite competitive and we see that Ukrainian light industry shows a medium to high growth rates. Of course, a significant part of we now sew on the raw material, when we actually sew on the order of foreign brands, but more and more Ukrainian companies are also starting to sew what is called under private lable”, – said Gaina in the air “5 channel”.

According to her, Ukrainian companies already give orders.

Recall, 4 July the European Parliament voted to give Ukraine additional trade preferences for duty-free export of some products. Preferences are imposed for a period up to three years. On 17 July the Council of the European Union adopted the temporary trade preferences for Ukraine.
