Ex-intelligence officer said, why Russia will not be solved by a major war in Ukraine

The international community opposes Russian aggression in the Donbas, so Moscow is not to decide to put large-scale attack on Ukraine. This opinion was expressed in interview to the edition “GORDON” the veteran of foreign intelligence, Lieutenant-General Vasily Bogdan.

According to him, the position of NATO and the U.S. on Ukraine, Putin does not decide on a major offensive in Ukraine.

“Despite all the nuances that exist in NATO and the EU, changes in the United States, Russia will not dare to carry out large-scale military operation against Ukraine. As already Washington and the White house and the UN have clearly stated that they support Ukraine, sanctions will continue and even more in Congress and the White house handled the bill on strengthening sanctions against Russia”, – said Bohdan.

He believes that the embattled Russian aviation speaks only of intent to intimidate Ukraine, but not to attack.

“Russia is now trying to blackmail not only Ukraine but the whole world, especially the countries of NATO and the Alliance itself. For this purpose, conduct a series of ambitious exercises demonstrating military muscle, which allegedly is in the Russian Federation. Of course they are, but not as powerful as she is trying to show,” – said the General.

We will remind, on 7 February began a sudden check by the Russian aerospace defence forces, which was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. As noted by the Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, military units were brought to the highest degree of combat readiness and commenced training.
