The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on energy efficiency Fund and the law on energy performance of buildings. This was reported by press Secretary Svyatoslav Tsigalko.

In addition, according to Poroshenko, Germany will provide 100 million euros to support energy efficiency in Ukraine.

Poroshenko during his speech at the events dedicated to the signing of the law On “energy efficiency Fund”, also said that Ukraine more than 500 days does not buy gas from the Russian Federation.
As reported, the energy efficiency Fund must earn before the start of the next heating season, i.e. in autumn 2017, officials have repeatedly claimed that the Foundation’s work will help to reduce the loss of gas in the heating system and the residential sector of the country, which annually is 2.4 billion cubic meters and 9 billion cubic meters, respectively, to create up to 75 new jobs, as well as for five to eight years to run the services market in energy efficiency with a volume of approximately 30 billion euros, the main party which will be small and medium businesses.
