US considering options for support of the Normandy format and Minsk agreements in Ukraine, officially reported by the U.S. Department of state representative.
“All members of the “Normandy format” of France, Germany, Ukraine and Russia — have expressed their desire to have a partner like US in the negotiations. Not as a member of the “Norman format”, but support for this format. There is widespread support among these four countries to attract United States,” — said the diplomat.
According to him, now Washington is considering how best to support the Normandy format and Minsk talks.
We will remind, on may 10, foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that the United States can join the “Norman Quartet”. Later, the representatives of Germany noted that the US does not want to join the Normandy four, since the administration of U.S. President Donald trump is not interested in changing the channel format .
