The Polish and Ukrainian gas schizophrenia

There is every reason to remember Orwell described a rethinking of the meaning of words. This phenomenon becomes increasingly relevant as it is all the more destructive influences on society. Truth and love hidden in the lies and hatred, military aggression at the other end of the world turns into a defense of their own interests, carpet bombing becomes a humanitarian mission, the aggressor is taken in the ring, and who misbehaves and causes damage, he is right. Today let’s talk about the latter.

Europe is mainly supplied with Russian gas. Once upon a time in the conference on energy security in Prague, the Russians responded to the criticism in connection with “security of energy supply” (this concept since has spread widely), surprisingly tying it with their own interests and “safety of gas extraction”.

What it was about, understood only by realists who were interested in the practical side, but I was unhappy with the ideologues and all kinds of warlike incited. All they can do — and what is their sole purpose is the destabilization of their interest regions. About it around the same time in his book “the Next hundred years,” wrote well-known American analyst George Friedman.

Silence for ideological reasons

At the Prague conference, the Russians relied on the increasingly unstable situation in Ukraine, which was then gutted the “gas Princess” Yulia Tymoshenko, although the words she so loved his country. (That Tymoshenko is a thief, who has spent about a billion dollars, many years later realized, probably all Ukrainians, but this pride does not allow them to admit that they were wrong and their opponents were right.)

Tymoshenko is a joke when in prison, came up with the Rudolph Battek and put it in the mouth of a self-styled preacher John Baker: “Ladies and gentlemen, here’s what you tell people, committed by transnational monopolies. I am very sorry for poor people and want to help them, but that I had the opportunity to help them, I should be rich, but to help me with this one again, those poor people whom I respect and admire.”

The fact that Ukraine was stealing Russian transit gas, we have for ideological reasons were ignored against the background of increasing anti-Russian propaganda. This part of the Czech media has made an incredible mistake, writing that Russia stopped gas exports to Europe. But Russia just stopped using transit through Ukrainian black hole, where in Europe still got not so much gas. With regard to the Yamal pipeline that is laid through Poland, he worked to full capacity. In this regard, we should never forget how shamefully shoddy Czech media played up the hideous propaganda!

Unnecessary pipelines

Symptoms some countries suspiciously similar to their favorite sports. In the case of the United States is baseball: we will take back the ball, but we’ll see. Example? Iraq, 2003! Then in Prague, a senior us representative admitted that on the postwar Iraq began to wonder only after the aggression. Russian, on the contrary, I love chess, and the opponent they need to keep at a greater distance than a baseball bat. (Why they are so concerned that widening NATO attacks Russian border.)

But back to Gaza. The Russian played a great party. The opponent though and managed to revive the traditionally strong anti-Russian (Poland, the Baltic States), with a flank the game, he completely failed. The Russians were maneuvering on the kingside and the queenside, and now completed the promotion on both, leaving the center locked.

In other words, the transit of gas through Ukraine came to an end, and if Ukraine does not come to his senses, the pipeline will not be maintained, and this track (along with as pleasant and easy profits in the form of transit fees) will finally go into oblivion. The same junk will be the Yamal pipeline through the territory of Poland. Prospects and implications in his case are similar. The existing gas pipeline “Nord stream”, which is conducted under the Baltic sea, appears a twin brother. Finally naughty Ukraine will be able to bypass the “Turkish stream”.

Increased security risks

Recently, the position of Poland and Ukraine are becoming more anti-Russian, that is, they lead the game in their own interests. And they play hard. For example, Ukrainian politician Arseniy Yatsenyuk even openly stated the possibility to suspend or stop the supply of Russian gas to Europe, so as to put pressure on Russia. In this Europe, which was missing would be supplied volume, would, in the opinion of Yatsenyuk, hostage.

However, the situation has evolved differently, and suddenly started having these conversations that don’t believe because the mind refuses to accept something like that. The restriction or complete rejection of Russian gas transit via its territory to Ukraine and Poland is associated with “increased risks to its security” and still have the audacity to make a claim due to the loss of transit fees for gas. It’s like they have some right to them. They don’t know what to say here already about — especially as they themselves admit with the loss of transit they’re losing a tool of pressure on Russia. Bad Russia takes Poland and Ukraine bludgeon which they want to beat.

This aspect should be particularly emphasized. Europe is so concerned about the security of energy supplies, still was subject to the two States which to the detriment of European interests wanted to reduce your own scores with Russia. She managed tactically correct to slip out of this trap. Now Russia wants to become Europe’s partner, whose reliability does not depend on the arbitrariness of the two transit countries. But the latter suddenly turned against Russia for what she allegedly uses energy supplies for political purposes.

Misbehavior

This is simply arrogance. I do not advise to get used to this new political and media fashion — think at least about his own mental health. Yes, and society is dangerous, because such trends resemble the most ugly side of politics in the era of normalization. This will not be called decent behavior: to want someone nice, and even somewhat privileged position, but to slander, curse and try to threaten him.

This is clearly the dual state behavior quickly catches on and begins a destructive influence even on routine family relationships. But it is not necessary to justify some kind of moral upheaval because of a “communism” with his “double standards”. That’s not it. We have 25 years of recovery, that is more time than the First Republic. What we are unable to get out of this swamp, is due rather practical and internal reasons than any ideology.
