Trump changed his attitude to Russia – Waszczykowski

The President of the United States Donald trump is hoping to improve relations with the Russian Federation, but now he is gradually changing a position in the direction of the Republican mainstream, which considers Russia as a geopolitical opponent of America. This was stated by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, reports UKRINFORM.

“We have seen presidents, who announced the restart, which saw in Putin’s eyes the soul of a Democrat. We (poles. – Ed.) also would like a good relationship, but the key to this lies in Moscow. We also see that the President trump the evolution in the direction of the Republican mainstream, which has for many years clearly says that Russia is a geopolitical rival of the United States,” – said Waszczykowski.

The head of the Polish foreign Ministry also stressed that during the meeting of the presidents of Poland and the United States on 5 July in Warsaw Andrzej Duda will ask trump to facilitate the return to Poland from Russia the wreckage of the crashed plane of President Lech Kaczynski.

Recall that in the framework of the G20 summit, which will take place next week in Germany, may be held the first meeting trump and Putin.
