Fesenko called the possible causes of the closure of Roshen in Lipetsk

The closure of the factory “Roshen” on the territory of Russia – it is the right decision, though belated, and the position of civil society played a role in it. This opinion was expressed in comments to the edition “GORDON” the political scientist, the head of the Center for applied political studies “Penta” Volodymyr Fesenko.

“Having estimated all potential and real risks, found that the factory in Lipetsk need to stop and thereby remove the problem of constant suspicion against Poroshenko. Especially in the next month, and the entire 2017 will be very difficult negotiations in Minsk, the contact with trump, trying to advance the peace process,” – said Fesenko.

In addition, he believes that it could cause economic and foreign policy aspect.

“I think, inside the presidential team, and the Corporation Roshen took into account the criticism that is constantly heard from the media and from civil society. Of course, taken into account the foreign policy context. And economic problems of the factory in Lipetsk, the constant raids from the Russian tax is also one of the good reasons,” – said Fesenko.

Fesenko added that this decision should have been taken much earlier.

“It’s the right decision, but too late. We had to stop production much earlier, because the factory Roshen in Lipetsk was one of the fashion problem and constant cause for criticism and suspicion in the address of President Poroshenko. However, better late than never. The position of civil society played a significant role,” concluded Fesenko.

As it became known today, Roshen Corporation is stopping the production activity of the Lipetsk confectionery factory. About 700 employees of the enterprise in Lipetsk have been warned of impending layoffs.

In turn , the Kremlin has reacted to the scandalous closure of the “Roshen” in Russia. So, the press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the factory could continue.
