Today, after exclusion of the President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt from the group of the European people’s party, the duties of the President of the PACE will be fulfilled by the Vice-President, people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Georgy Logvynsky. This was stated by Legwinski after the vote on the exclusion of Agramunt from the group of the EPP, the press service of “people’s front”.
“According to the regulations, the duties of the President of the Assembly performs the Vice-President who belongs to the group of the EPP. Today I will be presented the honour to perform the duties of the President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and to lead a meeting,” said Logvinsky.
As reported today by the representatives of the group of the European people’s party took the decision to expel from its membership of the PACE President Agramunt.
Recall that in March Agramunt visited Syria with a delegation of Russian deputies. After that, the PACE demanded his resignation.
