The cold war between Russia and the U.S. prevents anti-terrorism cooperation

June 6, Russian fighter su-27 on-duty air defense forces of the Baltic fleet was raised to intercept American strategic bombers b-52 flying along the Russian border on the Baltic sea.

American bomber equipped with nuclear weapons, for Russia is a serious danger. Su-27 is called an “air knife”. Since 1987 the border was seen by the Norwegian patrol anti-submarine fighter su-27 flew to intercept, hit the left keel bolts Norwegian Orion. The wreckage of the screw of the Norwegian reconnaissance aircraft flew in different directions and struck the fuselage. After this incident, su-27 became known as “air knife”. At this time, the fighters of the two countries met, but not encountered. It proves once again that Russia and the U.S. is trying to contain the beginning of a nuclear war while balancing on the brink of armed conflict.

Russia, the US and Europe stalled

How will relations between Russia and NATO countries? How Russia plans to organize an international anti-terrorist cooperation?

First of all, Russian-American relations at the moment are in a hopeless situation. Director of the Department for nonproliferation and arms control, MFA of Russia Ulyanov said that the approach of American fighter-52 to the Russian borders only detrimental to international security and destabilizie the situation in the region. These actions by the US provoke aggravation of relations between Russia and the EU. Europe lost its independence in matters of security and defence, besides the European Union has become more dependent on the military forces of the United States, so now it’s even harder to end the cold war with Russia and to begin to deal with the main issue of our time — terrorism.

The US continues to control the armed forces of NATO countries and to do everything to ensure that the European Union could not intervene in Russian-American relations. Russia wants to accelerate the normalization of relations with the countries of the Alliance and launch a joint anti-terrorism cooperation. In London, Paris, Berlin, all over Europe each year there are a lot of terrorist acts. This suggests that at the moment for the European Union the issue of security is in the first place. Due to the fact that NATO still maintains a cold war with Russia, to launch an international anti-terrorist cooperation between Russia and the West almost impossible.

A leading cold war the Alliance is provoking Russia to take retaliatory action, moreover, increases the likelihood of armed clashes between Russia and Europe. As LIH (banned in Russia — approx. ed.) still continues to exist, the number of terrorist acts in the EU will continue to grow. This situation further complicates the normalization of relations between Russia and the United States. The question arises: whether the Western countries alone to withstand the terrorist threat? NATO should take measures and to begin anti-terrorist cooperation with Russia.

Russia’s participation in anti-terrorist cooperation is necessary

You need to understand that the biggest threat to international security is terrorism. Russia hopes that Western countries will cease to consider Russia as their enemy and understand that Russia has the most advanced military equipment and are ready to assist in the fight against the main threat. Wage cold war with Russia is pointless, and it inhibits the beginning of anti-terrorist cooperation. Due to the fact that terrorism is spreading rapidly, European countries need Russia’s support in the fight against terrorism.

Russia hopes that the basis for future Russian-American cooperation will lay down the following principles. First, to avoid unexpected air of conflict to report on the flight routes of the fighter jets. Secondly, to allow all countries free to carry out reconnaissance flights and to ensure their safety. Third, to limit the flights of bombers equipped with nuclear bombs, as this may cause the destabilization of the situation in the regions. Fourth, finally to end the cold war and to allow each state to focus on internal security, effective policies in the fight against terrorism, to carry out military exchanges. Fifthly, to approve a plan to combat terrorism, to reduce the level of tension between the individual regions of States to improve the situation in the regions, to jointly define concrete actions in the fight against terrorism, to reduce the level of threats of terrorist acts.

You must understand that inter-state conflicts impede the process of international anti-terrorist cooperation. Countries should join forces in the fight against terrorism.
