“We are talking about information security of the state. This initiative will not lead to the closure of TV channels, retransmitted by the Russian Federation, as surely there will be some to speculate. I urge you to follow closely the debate on this subject and not to succumb to all sorts of manipulation – no one is going to shut down Russian-language TV channels,” – said the Chairman of the PDM Vlad plahotniuc.
“TV channels are allowed to show information and analytical programs, news releases and programs on military subjects only on the EU countries, USA, Canada, other States of the European Convention on transfrontier television. The restrictions will apply only to news and analytical programs. For violations of the law provides for sanctions, including financial, until the withdrawal of the broadcasting licence,” said Chairman of the Parliament Andrian CANDU.
