Montenegro’s membership in NATO is not directed against anyone, including against Russia. This was stated by the Minister of defence of Montenegro Predrag bošković, according to RTCG, reports “Ukrainian truth”.
“We are witnessing a lack of understanding of Moscow’s membership of Montenegro in NATO. We won’t stir up a scandal with your reaction to the statements of Russia”, – he said, commenting on statements of Russian foreign Ministry on the right of response to the “hostile policy” of Podgorica.
According to the Minister, the statements of Russia is more focused on the part of the population of Montenegro, that approves membership in NATO.
“We hope that Russia will understand that membership in NATO is anti-Russian character, in Montenegro, there are no anti-Russian hysteria, on the contrary, Russia itself must be interested in peace in the Western Balkans”, – said Boskovic.
Recall that Montenegro officially became a member of NATO.
