Legal mechanisms for the introduction of visa regime with the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko.
“Legal mechanisms is absolutely ready. This is a technical process. If there is a political solution that Ukraine is ready. I think the team of the Ministry of justice will help the colleagues from the foreign Ministry, which in fact will lead the process to develop the government’s decision to launch this process,” he said.
According to Petrenko, this question is relevant today. “As the Secretary of the NSDC, he even already overripe. We are talking only about Ukrainians who have relatives in Russia – not to create a lot of uncomfortable things or a chance to persecution by the Russian special services. But from the point of view of security of Ukraine, from the point of view of national security, from the point of view of the actual limit movement on the territory of Ukraine of agents that call in here under various pretexts, it was the right decision”, – said the head of the Ministry of justice.
Earlier the Secretary of Council of national security and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said in favour of the rapid introduction of a visa regime with the Russian Federation. “I believe that this issue is not ripe, and overripe. It must implement as quickly as possible – the better for the country”, – said Turchinov.
This position was supported by the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak.
