Poroshenko has instructed the Finance Ministry and the SFS to open access to customs declarations

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko set the task to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and head of the State fiscal service (GFS) open access to databases of customs declarations. The President said during a meeting of the Volyn regional state administration Lutsk on Wednesday on the topic of readiness to introduce visa-free regime with EU countries.

“I put the first priority, that we harmonized the customs law, which gives us the opportunity with the EU – not as a gesture of goodwill but an obligation, based on the signed agreement on the basis of the harmonized legislation no later than 1 January 2018 start database access”, – said Poroshenko.

According to the head of the state, then access to databases of customs declarations was extremely interested customs officers and smugglers.

Poroshenko instructed the relevant agencies to conduct a coordination meeting and submit proposals on this issue.
