Avakov outraged by the court’s decision to release Antipov

The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov expressed outrage at the court decision to release former head of the tax service of the Luhansk region Alexander Antipov, who was arrested on 24 may in the case of “tax sites”. About this Avakov wrote in a comment to his post in Facebook.

“PPC… well, how you can work…” – wrote Avakov.

Earlier, the Pechersky district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint in the form of 15 million UAH of bail to the former chief of GU Mindokhodov in the Luhansk region Alexander Antipov. The court also ordered Antipova to make for 5 days the specified amount to wear an electronic bracelet.

As reported, on may 24, 2017 by the chief military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios, jointly with the Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov a briefing in Kyiv said the security forces conduct large-scale anti-corruption operation. In particular, more than 1 thousand 700 police officers and about 500 military prosecutors conducted 454 search in 15 regions of Ukraine, with a simultaneous arrest of several persons.

Detainees began immediately to deliver to the court for election of a measure of restraint. The operation applies to corruption crimes circle of former President Viktor Yanukovych.

In turn, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko said that in the investigation of the establishment and operation of tax sites for money laundering by Yanukovych’s circle already arrested 22 officers of the tax authorities in the regions.
