The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law “On amendments to article 201 of the Criminal code criminalizing the smuggling of firearms parts” (No. 3254-p).
For this decision, after several attempts voted by 226 deputies out of 308 registered in the session hall.
Law article 201 “Smuggling” of the criminal code of Ukraine was supplemented by a provision on the accountability for the movement of goods across the customs border of Ukraine outside the customs control or with concealment from customs control parts fire rifle.
The sanction of article provides imprisonment for the term from 3 till 7 years.
In the current wording of article 201 of parts of the fire rifle it was not.
The law shall enter into force 30 days from the date of its publication.
We will remind, today, on may 18, the Verkhovna Rada failed the draft resolution on the formation of a step-by-step road map for land reform in Ukraine.
In addition, the Parliament voted today a draft law abolishing the action of the “law of Savchenko”.
