Poroshenko explained what it means bezviz for Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko believes that granting Ukraine a visa-free regime is a huge step to Europe for our country. He stated this at a press conference.

“Bezviz is much more than a simplified way of crossing the border. We are talking about an event much more profound significance. This is a huge step to Europe, the assertion of human freedom, of independence of our state. If you want, it is overcoming the effects of Pereyaslovskaya Rada, this way, finally, of Ukraine from post-Soviet States in Russia disrespectfully called “near abroad”. And Vice versa – is an even greater involvement of Ukraine in joint European civilization. Now is that crazy to consider Ukraine as a part of the so-called “Russian world”. Ukraine is part of a United Europe from Lisbon to Kharkov”, – said Poroshenko.

We will remind, on may 11, the Council of the European Union approved the granting of a visa-free regime for Ukraine – it was the last of the European court, which had to make a decision on granting Ukraine the visa regime liberalization.

In turn, Petro Poroshenko next week to go to Brussels, where he will participate in the ceremony of signing the agreement on visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU. As he himself said, this event will occur on may 17, but bezviz will begin to act for Ukrainians around June 11.
