To resolve the conflict in the Donbas, first of all, we need political will, said in an interview to BNS Agency, the EU high representative for foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini.
“As the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, we know how to move on how to resolve the situation by peaceful means, fully respecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Is the Minsk agreement”, – said Mogherini.
“First of all, we need political will to fully implement a ceasefire, withdraw heavy weapons and to improve the situation in the field of security,” she said.
“The EU and its member countries to actively continue to support these agreements. We are making the largest contribution to the OSCE mission, which monitors the situation on the ground. We have also introduced against Russia sanctions that will be in effect until full implementation of the Minsk agreements. It’s part of our approach to resolving the conflict”, – said Mogherini.

Earlier the US President Donald trump at a meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov underlined Russia’s responsibility for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
