The question of increasing quotas for products of agroindustrial complex (AIC) of Ukraine put on the agenda of the meeting of the EU Council on 11 may. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine.
According to the report, the legislative proposal was submitted in September 2016 to facilitate the access of Ukraine to the EU market in terms of supply of certain types of industrial and agricultural products.
We will remind, the European Parliament decision on increase in quotas on Ukrainian agricultural products will further to about $ 200 million, believe in the Ministry of agriculture.
As reported, the European Parliament Committee on international trade on may 4, voted against increasing the quotas on imports of Ukrainian wheat, tomatoes and urea.
In March, Ukraine has chosen the annual quota for duty-free exports to the EU in six categories of products: honey, sugar, cereals and flour, processed tomatoes grape and Apple juice and corn. A similar situation was observed last year.
