U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson after meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin called productive talks in Moscow. He also stated the need to stop the degradation of relations between Russia and USA – RT.
In addition, Tillerson noted that the level of trust between Russia and the United States is currently at a low level. “We just got back from a very productive meeting, as you have heard, we spent two hours with President Putin. The current state of Affairs is at the lowest level, and the level of confidence was at a low point,” said Tillerson at a joint press conference with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
He added: “But two major powers, the nuclear powers can’t be in this state of Affairs.”
Also, the Secretary stated that the U.S. position is that the Assad regime in Syria is coming to an end. “Our position is that the Assad regime comes to an end,” said Tillerson. He noted that Russia “can help to understand this reality”.
Earlier it was reported that the talks, Lavrov and Tillerson lasted five hours. The meeting of Putin, Lavrov and Tillerson lasted almost two hours.
