At the motor show in new York announced the winners of the contest “world car of the year”. First place went to crossover Jaguar F-Pace, which also took first prize in the category “Best design” – the “Motor”.
For the title “world car of the year award” the Jaguar F-Pace has struggled in the finals with two SUVs — the Audi Q5 and Volkswagen Tiguan, and in the category of the most beautiful cars, the British model won the convertible Mercedes-Benz S-Class and crossover Toyota C-HR.
Best urban car of the year was the electric car BMW i3 in the category “Best luxury car of the year” won the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which could in the final voting to bypass the BMW 5-Series and Volvo S90/V90.
The best sports car of the year was the Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman, 570S winning McLaren and Audi R8 Spyder. First prize in the category of “most environmentally friendly cars” got a Toyota Prius Prime.
The winner of the previous “world car of the year” became the Roadster Mazda MX-5. The finalists of the competition were the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Cadillac CT6, Mazda CX-3, Jaguar XE, Land Rover Discovery Sport.
