The explosive device which exploded in the metro in St Petersburg was Packed with striking elements. About it RIA Novosti said the source. “A bomb that hasn’t exploded in the metro in St Petersburg was Packed with striking elements … the explosive device was hidden in a bag” – said the source.
UFSB across St.-Petersburg has confirmed that defused at the metro station “Ploschad Vosstaniya” the explosive device was equipped with striking elements. “Around 15: 00 at the metro station “Ploschad Vosstaniya” discovered an improvised explosive device filled striking elements. The specified device is promptly neutralized by bomb experts, no injuries. Currently both stations are evacuated, victims receive necessary medical care”, — stated in the release.
According to the latest data of the Russian Minister of health Veronika Skvortsova, the explosion in St. Petersburg subway 10 people were killed, 37 were hospitalized. Another explosion at the station “Ploshchad rebellion”, was prevented thanks to the timely detection of the bomb.
The Prosecutor General’s office called a state of emergency in the subway of Saint-Petersburg the attack.
