Poroshenko has signed the controversial amendments to the law on e-declarations

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on amendments to article 3 of the Law of Ukraine “On corruption prevention” (No. 6172). Relevant data are contained on the Parliament website.

It is noted that the law is returned with a signature from the President today, March 27.

We will remind, on March 23 the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on amendments to article 3 of the law of Ukraine “On corruption prevention” (No. 6172), which frees the troops, NCOs, petty officers and squads, Junior officers from filing e-returns and requires that representatives of public associations.

A number of representations of foreign States in Ukraine called “step back” amendments to the law on e-Declaration. Also with criticism of this document by experts and public organizations.

Today, March 27, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy was signed and sent to the President for signing this law.

Also today in the presidential Administration held a meeting of NGO representatives with the President. After the meeting, the Executive Director of Transparency International Ukraine Yaroslav Yurchyshyn said that Poroshenko not to veto amendments to the law on e-Declaration, but is ready for a possible amendment.
