“Gray” technique captured 20% of the Ukrainian market

The share of “gray” technology in Ukraine is 20%. This was stated by the head of the consumer electronics Committee of the European business Association, Director of Miele Igor Makarov, writes FinClub.

“Ukraine is among five leaders in volumes of Internet-Commerce — the share of such sales is 30%. Most “shadows” is here,” said Igor Makarov.

According to GFK, to 20% of sales of tablets, mobile phones and laptops is in the shade, for cameras, the figure is up to 25% for refrigerators and washing machines — up to 15%, for TVs up to 10% for slow cookers up to 13%, for vacuum cleaners — 18%.

These figures lead to the fact that the budget loses billions hryvnias of income.

“If you take for calculations the figure that only 15% of the sales of equipment is in the shade, then in 2015 when the total volume of the market of electronics in 47 billion, the budget is 1.2 billion UAH, in 2016 — 1.35 billion UAH”, — he estimated the coordinator of the consumer electronics Committee of the European business Association Victoria Kulikova.

“Minimization of gray and black import — the most powerful incentive for the vendor to increase investment in the Ukrainian market, and the sooner we get that cleaned up, the sooner you will return to the volumes that were with our company at the best of times”, — said Alexander Shabanov, the representative of the company LG, which is due to the problems of the informal sector reduced the presence in Ukraine.
