Harbinger of death is loss of smell. This is found researchers from the University of Stockholm who tried to find a way through which people can predict his impending death.
For research assistants for 10 years watching 1774 Swedes aged 40-90 years. At the beginning of the experiment, citizens were asked to take a test where it was necessary to determine 13 different odors.
As a result, the researchers found that the probability of a person’s death was connected with his ability to correctly identify the smell. On average, one incorrect answer on a test means higher risk of death (during study period) by 8%.
Scientists believe that the ability to correctly identify odors is an indicator of the healthy functioning of the brain. Irregularities in the latter, experts believe that directly increase the risk of death.
