Russian “AVTOVAZ” has announced the recall of more than 106 thousand cars Lada Kalina and Granta with manual transmission sold in Russia from September 3, 2015. The reason Lada Kalina and Granta named the chafing fuel and vapor tubes with the clutch cable.
“On vehicles Lada Kalina and Lada Granta will install a protective lining, which prevents chafing of the tubes. If there are traces of contact on the tubing replacing the tubing Assembly with a new one”, – said the Russian Federal Agency on technical regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart).
Owners subject to the recall of cars will tell you whether you need to deliver the car to the nearest dealership for repairs. All repair work will be carried out free of charge.
Car owners can independently determine whether their car is under recall. To do this you must match VIN code for your car published on the website of Rosstandart list, and then contact the nearest authorized dealership and to schedule the repair.
