In the port Sri Lanka Colombo seized a large shipment of cocaine – 928 pounds, according to TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies of the Iberian Kingdom.
It is noted that the seizures carried out the civil guard of Spain, in cooperation with the police of Sri Lanka and the Office for combating drug trafficking of the USA.
The drugs were hidden in two shipping containers. They were supposed to deliver to India. Furthermore, the ship where the drugs were found, in October of last year came from Ecuador. It stayed in Belgium and Saudi Arabia.
As noted in the civil guard, this is the largest seizure of cocaine in South – East Asia.
Sending drugs by sea with containers, according to police, is one of the most commonly used methods by criminals.
Earlier it was reported that in Costa Rica the plane crashed carrying the cocaine.
