Parliament has reacted to the vote in the Netherlands as “Ukrainian” Association

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy welcomed the decision of the lower house of the Dutch Parliament on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, and expressed confidence that the Senate will also support ratification. He said this during the morning session of Parliament, reports 112.ua.

He recalled that the decision of the lower house of the Dutch Parliament, yet the final epic with the ratification of the Association Agreement.

“I would like that we together welcomed the decision of the lower house of the Dutch Parliament, the house of representatives on the ratification of the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine. For the ratification of the agreement voted 89 of the 150 deputies of the chamber. This vote is not the final step towards ratification, expected decision of the Senate”, – said Parubiy.

He also expressed confidence that the Senate of the Netherlands will support the ratification of the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine.

Yesterday, the lower house of the Dutch Parliament (House of representatives) at the meeting on Thursday officially confirmed the ratification of the Association Agreement with Ukraine. In contrast to other issues on the agenda, the voting on the Ukrainian question was on a special procedure – each of the deputies had to answer whether it supports the ratification, followed by counting of votes.
