Scotland Yard for the first time headed woman

Cressida dick will lead the police of London, succeeding Bernard Hogan-Howe, who worked in the position since 2011, reports the BBC.

Previously, dick worked in the police fight against terrorism, but two years ago went to work in the British foreign office.

The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, commented on the appointment of a dick, saying that her candidacy for the position of head of the police of London were the best.

“Her distinguished career, experience and skills… on behalf of all Londoners I extend a warm welcome to Cressida”, he said.

She dick thanked everyone for their support.

“A huge thank you to everyone who taught me and supported me all the way” she said, promising that he would try to justify their confidence.
