In Poland really want to change the system of employment for Ukrainians

The Ministry of labour, family and social policy of Poland proposes to update the law “On employment promotion”, which proposes significant changes to the procedure of employment of Ukrainians.

The details of the proposed changes in an interview with the newspaper “Our choice” said the expert on the issues of legalization of stay, the President of Fund of development “Beyond borders” Xenia Naranovich.

In Poland for over 10 years functioning system of declarations (Declaration of the employer that he wants to take the foreigner to work, authorized by the local Department of labour – ed.), which allows citizens of several countries to work for up to 6 months without issuing a work permit. This system works for the citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

Changes are proposed to the law “On employment” relate to the applications system.

As explained by Ksenia Naranovich the issue statements will now be regulated by law and not by order. Practice statements, which was originally planned as a temporary, will become permanent.

“The draft law is limited to the circle of legal persons who in principle can apply for work permits, permits for seasonal work (a new type of permission, which is introduced according to EU Directive — as amended) and the statement,” – says the expert.

Now will be important the fact whether the employer problems with the Institution of social insurance.

Also, the claims will be paid 30 PLN (about 7 Euro).

Also, under the proposed amendments, if the data changes the employer — the names, form of legal entity — a work permit will not have to change.

“It is definitely a relief for Polish employers and foreign workers. So, we can say, at some point the law introduces more clarity. But other changes bother you,” said Karanovich.

In particular, employers will have more bureaucratic responsibilities, which, according to experts, will increase the risk of migrants “in the black”.
