The President cited the history of the military conflict of Russia vs other countries, which shows that the country can not do without wars.

“A lot of talk about the war. One of the many cases applying an aggressive Moscow’s brutal use of force against neighboring peoples. Finland, the Baltic countries in 1944, Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, Afghanistan in 1989, Georgia in 2008, and now Ukraine. And I’m sure that the dot is no reason. Unfortunately, history teaches us that it is only a comma,” – said Poroshenko.

The President reminded that in the Afghan war unleashed by Moscow, many Ukrainians died.

As reported, Poroshenko participated in the ceremony of laying flowers to the Memorial complex for Ukrainian citizens fallen in Afghanistan, in honor of the Day honoring the combatants in territories of other States.
