Australia by 30% to provide Ukraine with nuclear fuel

Australia can cover up to 30% of Ukraine’s needs for nuclear fuel for use in energy, also the Australians are interested in cooperation with Ukraine in the aerospace and aviation sector. This was announced by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia Nikolay Kulinich.

“A few days ago, the Ukrainian government has completed and adopted the agreement between Ukraine and Australia in the field of nuclear energy. Now we are opening a huge prospects of political and economic project to supply uranium fuel for our atomic power stations of Ukraine. We just need now to finish administrative agreement – it is a technical issue. Australia can cover up to 30% of our energy needs in nuclear fuel,” he said during a Skype-inclusion in the environment.

Kulinich noted that in Australia interested in cooperation in the aerospace and aviation sector. According to him, there are concrete arrangements with the Australian Antarctic Agency that provided the logistics in Antarctica.

“Interested in products “Antonov” for different areas, a line of transport aircraft. Here come the delegation, which will discuss the possibility of using not only transport aircraft, but also vehicles on tracks, etc.,” said the Ambassador.

As reported, on February 8, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the agreement with the government of Australia on cooperation in the sphere of usage of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
