At a railway crossing in the Kirovohrad region today, about one o’clock train collided with a truck. According to the press service of the Odessa railroad, the incident occurred at the site Pletenyi Tashlyk – Novoukrainka.
“The truck driver drove onto the crossing when properly working light and sound alarm. Freight train at the speed of 42 km/hour hit the car trailer with 25-ton drilling rig,” reported the railroad.

According to the press service, there were no injuries, but both vehicles received serious mechanical damages. Also due to the collision of burned-out contact wire, passenger train Kharkiv-Odessa was delayed by almost two hours, and Dnepropetrovsk-Odessa – more than four. Now movement of trains is restored.
