Employees of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) jointly with the Prosecutor’s office exposed the supply of 20 million UAH of non-liquid spare parts for railway transport of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”. Reports a press about it-service SBU.
“Militiamen established that the management of one of structural divisions of state-owned enterprises have concluded contracts for the supply of spare parts with two private companies. Merchants, through agreements deliberately put enterprise components, produced with gross violations of technical conditions that, in particular, significantly reduced the life of the spare parts,” informs the security Service.
SBU also found that officials “Ukrzaliznytsya” does not provide adequate verification of product quality, as required by the regulations.
“According to experts from specialized institutions, purchase of these components could lead to extreme events on the railway during freight and passenger traffic”, – emphasized in SBU.
When carrying out investigative actions in the offices of businessmen and structural units of the railway SBU operatives seized financial and economic documentation, which proves the holding of a multimillion-dollar deal for the supply of low-quality components.
