President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey mevlüt çavuşoğlu, this was reported on the website of the presidential Administration.
Çavuşoğlu and Poroshenko discussed the agenda of the next meeting of the Strategic Council of high level between Ukraine and Turkey to be held under the co-chairmanship of the two Heads of state this spring.
During the meeting it was also separately noted the importance of the early completion of the negotiation process on concluding agreement on free trade zone between Ukraine and Turkey.
The foreign Minister assured that Turkey will continue to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including the non-recognition of the illegal occupation of Crimea.
Earlier it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Ukraine on a working visit “in the coming months.” According to the presidents of Turkey, he hoped that the visit will give new impetus to the relations with Ukraine.
