The BPP explained why Parliament did not vote for the lifting of immunity of MPs

The people’s Deputy from BPP Alexey Goncharenko does not see prospects for voting for the bill on the lifting of parliamentary immunity, as in the session hall does not reach 300 votes. He told about it on air of TV channel NewsOne.

According to him, the deputies did not want to vote against yourselves, so the question is not submitted to a vote, so as not to overwhelm him.

“How many goals we received for the removal of immunity from one Novinsky (MP from the Opposition bloc, Vadim Novinsky – ed.)? 227? One Novinsky. Now tell me, is there any 300 votes to remove the immunity “with myself”? Then Novinsky, you are not to remove yourself. And even that was only 227 deputies, and we need 300 who will vote not on Novinsky, but for myself personally, that to remove yourself. After the vote on Novinsky these 300 votes no. Not to fill up this question – can not tolerate it,” – said Goncharenko.

We will remind, on December 8, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave consent to the removal of parliamentary immunity and criminal prosecution of people’s Deputy Vadim Novinsky. For this decision voted 228 parliamentarians.
