Dzhemilev: Crimea Putin is waiting for the political harakiri

The occupation of the Crimea is to the detriment of Russia because of the sanctions, if the Kremlin decides to withdraw from the Peninsula, for the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin it will be a political end. This was explained in an interview with “Apostrophe” leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemil.

He noted that the occupation of the Peninsula by Putin is very expensive because of the sanctions.

“Of course, Russia is very expensive. Putin has made such propaganda on the capture of the Crimea, he built this enormous pseudo-patriotism. And the failure of Putin from the Crimea will be similar to political harakiri for him personally. Although each day of the sanctions that strike the Russian economy, if this continues, and we hope that they will be strengthened, but even if this level continues, then the collapse of Russia is not far off,” – said Dzhemilev.

He also stressed that Crimea is still in a daze, as the Russian punitive organs work well.

Recall, February 3, the new permanent US representative to the UN, Nikki Haley during his first speech said that sanctions against Russia should be in forceuntil Russia will not give Ukraine control of Crimea.

Earlier Vladimir Putin said that occupied Crimea came back to Russia at the request of the local population, and the referendum was consistent with international democratic norms. Putin also said that Russia annexed the Crimea as “independent state” and requires “not to provoke” Russia.
