In Britain, the new organization “Stop the Trump Coalition”, among which there are famous people from the sphere of art and politics, is preparing a large protest against the visit of US President Donald trump. This publication reports The Guardian, which received a letter from the coalition, which was also sent to British Prime Minister Theresa may and members of her government.
“Musicians, members, activists and comedians promise to hold the largest demonstration in British history in protest against the visit of Donald trump in Britain” – the newspaper notes.
Activists consider political action trump “dangerous and controversial”, particularly regarding the prohibition to citizens of seven countries to enter the United States.
According to the Guardian, opponents of trump’s visit, hope to mobilize more than 1 million people on the streets of London to the President of the United States heard them. However, the date of the campaign has not yet been determined.
“It is our duty as citizens to speak out. We oppose the state visit to the UK and declare implementation of one of the largest demonstrations in British history to give to our government, and everyone in the world to understand that this visit not in our name”, the letter reads.
Earlier it was reported that the British government cancels state visit to U.S. President Donald trump, because such a step “negate” all the arrangements made by the British Prime Minister Theresa may during her visit to the United States.
