European countries account for 69% of export of Ukrainian pasta. Thus, in January-November 2016 in the EU from Ukraine were delivered pasta 17.6 million dollars – in 4,2 times more than in the same period in 2010 (4.2 million dollars). This is reported by analysts of the Association “Ukrainian club of agrarian business” (ASTP).
Most pasta exported to Europe in 2015 – 18.4 billion dollars.
The major importing countries with the EU in 2016 are:
- Germany with a share of 13.6% of all sold abroad pasta;
- UK – with a share of 12.6%;
- Spain – with a share of 12.3%.
Mainly in EU, Ukraine exports instant noodles. The share of these products in total exports of pasta in Europe is to 88.4%. Exports of “quick” pasta for the last 6 years has increased 4 times – up to 15.5 million dollars.
Ukraine exports more of goods of pasta than it imports. In 2016, for every dollar of imported pasta had a 1.8 dollars exported Ukrainian products.
Recall that in 2015 the export of macaroni products in Ukraine amounted to 32.6 million dollars, which is 2.2 times higher than exports in 2010 ($15 million). However, in January-November of 2016, compared to the same period in 2015, exports decreased by 12.7% and amounted to 25.5 million dollars.
