In the report of the Ukrainian delegation to the parliamentary Assembly of the Council Evropy (PACE) you need to make some amendments regarding the Minsk agreements. This was on the sidelines of the PACE said the MP from the faction of the BPP ALECSO Goncharenko, the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“There is a paragraph which says that the Council of Europe calls on all parties to the full implementation of the Minsk agreements, including changes and amendments to the Constitution. We want to remove the part about changing the Constitution, and secondly, to clearly define what will be the main performing of the Russian Federation as the party that started this conflict”, – said Goncharenko.
In addition, according to the MP, it should be clearly specified that the conditions will be fulfilled when Russia will fulfill its part of the security arrangements for the withdrawal of troops.
According to Goncharenko, the PACE resolution will still be effective, despite the fact that Russia will not accept participation in plenary sessions of PACE this year.
“PACE is an extremely important organ, heeded by the entire world, in addition, the European court of human rights, to which Ukraine has filed several lawsuits against Russia is part of the Council of Europe and PACE,” – said Goncharenko.
As reported, in Strasbourg today starts the winter plenary session of PACE, which will last until January 27.
Recall that Russia will not take part in the plenary sessions of PACE and its committees in 2017.
Earlier, the head of the state Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky said that in 2017 Russia does not intend to participate in plenary sessions of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), as they are not satisfied with the existing regulations, which do not want to change.
According to him, Russia will continue to cooperate with the Strasbourg and out of meetings, participating in other activities of the Assembly.
We will remind, earlier the Russian delegation refused to participate in PACE due to the introduction of Western sanctions against Russia.
