General Director of TV channel “Rain” Natalia Sindeeva deplores the decision of the national Council on television and radio to ban the broadcasting of this TV channel in Ukraine. About it reports a press-service channel.

According to her, in accordance with the terms of contracts with all providers in Ukraine, the broadcasting of “Rain” throughout the country is carried out via an IP connection without direct commercial advertising.
Sindeeva noted that “the national Council of Ukraine were informed on 8 August 2016, after which claims of discrepancy in content of the channel to the Ukrainian legislation “Rain” not received”.
The General Director of “Rain” said that the channel is guided by the Russian legislation, when the map image of Russia. “In accordance with article 65 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation the Republic of Crimea is a Federal subject of the Russian Federation”, – she said.
The national Council for television and radio broadcasting Council ordered Ukrainian providers to stop relaying Russian TV channel “Rain” because of the rejection channel of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as translation of the Russian advertising.
“In particular, the air of the TV channel administrative border between the Kherson oblast and Crimea is portrayed as the border between Ukraine and Russia”, – said during the meeting, a member of the national Council Sergey Kostinsky.
According to him, for 2016, the national Council has repeatedly recorded violations of the Ukrainian legislation on the part of the channel. In particular, in his broadcast was attended by Russian advertising, and TV journalists illegally visited the annexed Crimea with Russia.
