All trains in the Netherlands switched to the power from wind power plants – media

All trains in the Netherlands, starting in 2017, switched completely to electricity produced by wind power, reported Tuesday the Western media with reference to the primary passenger rail carrier of the Netherlands is NS.

The company noted that thus the Netherlands became the first country in the world where all trains have switched to wind energy.

According to NS, a wind turbine running for one hour, can provide a single train of energy at 200 km.
