From 1 January 2017, the citizens of Latvia and persons having residence permit in this country, are obliged to pay for the stay in the territory of the country of vehicles fitted with foreign registration plates.
Subject to tax passenger cars and light trucks (weighing less than 3.5 tons), and the driver must be in possession of confirmation of payment.
Tax rates:
one day – 10 €
a month – 250 euros
six months is 600 euros,
year – 1000 euros.
According to the explanation of the state of Latvia, the tax does not apply to tourists (the status of “visitor” to confirm the passport).
We will remind, in Ukraine fiscal service already promised to start “hunting” for uncleared vehicles which are not registered in Ukraine.
